After the successful flight of Solar Impulse, the first zero-carbon perpetually autonomous aircraft, the Solar Impulse Foundation had set a new challenge: to select 1,000 clean, efficient and viable solutions and present them to the world’s leading decision-making bodies to speed up the transition towards a sustainable carbon-neutral economy.
It was only natural for Movin’On to join this initiative too by mobilizing its ecosystem of start-ups, major corporations, investors, public authorities and academic experts.
The two organizations have worked hand-in-hand to identify nine solutions capable of transforming mobility and making it more sustainable.
“These 1000 solutions are turning the challenge of our century into a historic opportunity. They bring concrete solutions for building a sustainable future right now. At Michelin, everything we do is aimed at striking the best balance between people development, economic performance and respect for the planet. By supporting these 1000 initiatives driving progress for all, the Group is, more than ever, standing by its beliefs.” Florent Menegaux, Chief Executive Officer of the Michelin Group.
