Mélanie Astles will continue as a Michelin ambassador flying under Michelin colors! Her Extra 330 SC aerobatic airplane now sports prominent Michelin branding that will be seen by multitudes of aviation enthusiasts at air shows and aerobatic competitions in Europe and North America. She will fly the Michelin branded plane in the 30th FAI World Aerobatic Championships to be held at The Châteauroux-Déols Air Base (LFLX), Châteauroux, FRA August 22th to 31st 2019.
Mélanie is an inspiration to Michelin and all aviation enthusiasts. Mélanie’s passion to pursue her dreams to become an aerobatics champion despite having to overcome obstacles has inspired us to continue with her as she continues to chase her aviation goals. An outstanding competitor, she continues to break boundaries, empower women in aviation, and feed the dreams of the next generation.
Now, with a new plane flying Michelin colors, our goal is to help Mélanie fulfill her need for speed and reach new heights.
