About Aviation Sans Frontières (Aviation Without Borders)

Since 1980, Aviation Sans Frontières has been deploying the resources and skills of the aeronautical world at the service of humanitarian aid. As a recognized Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) of public utility, it provides essential logistical support to hundreds of humanitarian actors by guaranteeing the delivery of emergency aid and the transport or people escort around the world. Thanks to its 800 volunteers, Aviation Sans Frontières responds to some 20 humanitarian requests every day.

The association has its own aircrafts – 2 Cessna Caravans based in Africa, well known for their ability to operate in difficult conditions. It is also the first NGO to hold a European Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) like any certified airline.

A common vision

From the same field of aeronautical activity, the NGO missions in coherence with Michelin Aircraft’s aim at offering access to mobility to everyone: in their different missions, Aviation Sans Frontières escorts refugees, sick children, volonteers and medical staff. Both organizations are helping the world to fly.

Michelin Aircraft supportive actions

As as partner, Michelin Aircraft will support the NGO in different ways:

SUPPORT PROMOTION ENGAGEMENT
  • Michelin Aircaft will finance the membership of its volonteers employees
  • Tire donation: the Cessna Caravan aircrafts will be equipped with Michelin tires
  • Michelin Aircraft will support the 2 missions financed by the Michelin Corporate Foundation
  • Children packages: Michelin Aircraft will offer comfort items to the escorted sick children
  • Michelin Aircraft will promote the association internally within Michelin network (conferences, seminars, exhibitions…), and externally, in the press and social media
  • Michelin Aircraft will offer dedicated time slots to the NGO representatives during internal events
  • Michelin Aircraft will encourage its employees to support the humanitarian missions of the NGO
  • Michelin Aicraft is committed itself to connect the NGO with the Group flying community and partners
